Every year on 26 September, Europe marks the European Day of Languages, an initiative launched by the Council of Europe in 2001, to promote language learning and safeguard the con-tinent’s rich linguistic and cultural diversity. The day highlights how essential language skills are in today’s interconnected world, celebrating multilingualism, cross-cultural exchange, and the cognitive benefits that come with learning a new language.
This year, UNIVERSEH is delighted to mark the occasion with an online programme built around the theme “Languages unite!”
Bringing together a diverse lineup of speakers and topics, the event, hosted by the University of Heinrich Heine de Düsseldorf (HHU), will explore how language brings people together, fostering understanding and collaboration across our alliance and beyond.
