Online workshop: Coaching Skills for Space Technology Leaders and Researchers

This interactive half-day workshop will give you the opportunity to learn how coaching approaches can be used in your role 

Coaching is a highly impactful development approach that can enhance working relationships, and support you to build student/team confidence, motivation and effectiveness, and is an important skill set for leadership roles. Increasingly leaders and supervisors are expected to be able to use coaching skills within their roles. 

We will cover coaching methodology, consideration of application to the research context, group discussions, demonstration of coaching, and extended practice using real-life issues. Further reading recommendations will be provided.

Workshop instructor 

Anna Sanders is a qualified and accredited Executive Coach (EMCC Senior Practitioner level) and has extensive coaching experience including with academics from early career researchers to PIs. Anna was previously Oxford University’s lead on employee coaching. Anna facilitates workshops, programmes and away days for a range of clients, including many within Higher Education, focusing on leadership, team building and coaching capacity, and is Programme Director for Oxford University’s Oxford Cultural Leader programmes.
