UNIVERSEH Team is delighted to organize a short story competition about space exploration following the Drawing Contest: Comic Strips about Space Exploration organized by the University of Namur last fall 2025.
This contest is open to residents of the UNIVERSEH countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, and Sweden.
Practical Information:
Theme: The submitted short story must be based on one of the four comic strips winners resulting from the “Space Exploration” comic strips competition organized by the University of Namur, available here and at the buttom of the page.
Use one of these 4 comic strips as inspiration to create your story, beyond the limits of language and words!
Audience: The contest is open to residents of the UNIVERSEH countries: Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Poland, Italy, and Sweden
Language: Dialogues can be written in the following languages: French, English, Luxembourgish, German, Polish, Italian, and Swedish. The use of these foreign languages is encouraged.
Three participant categories:
- Mercury (10-14 years old) – 6,000 to 10,000 characters including spaces
- Jupiter (15-18 years old) – 8,000 to 12,000 characters including spaces
- Neptune (19 years old and older) – 10,000 to 15,000 characters including spaces
Prizes: Gift vouchers for the winners, opportunities to be exhibited at events.
Calendar: Submit your short story by the 28 of June 2026 at 23:59.
