Space Resources Conference in Krakow
We are pleased to announce the 9th KGK Space Resources Conference – Interdisciplinary Frontiers in Space Resource Utilization, which will take place on 3–4 September 2026 in Kraków, Poland.
The event will be hosted by the AGH University of Krakow, bringing together an international community of researchers, engineers, industry representatives, and policy experts who are actively shaping the future of space exploration and space resource utilization.
The Space Resources Conference 2026 is a unique platform where science, technology, and society meet. It is designed to foster real interdisciplinary exchange and to accelerate the development of sustainable approaches to exploring and using resources beyond Earth.
About the conference
As space activities expand rapidly, the need for collaboration across disciplines is becoming increasingly important. Breakthroughs in robotics, planetary science, artificial intelligence, materials engineering, and space systems design are transforming how humanity approaches exploration beyond Earth.
This conference aims to bring these communities together to discuss not only technological progress, but also the broader scientific, economic, and legal context of space resource utilization. A strong emphasis is placed on sustainability, responsibility, and long-term perspectives for space activities.
Scope and topics
The 2026 edition highlights interdisciplinary cooperation across a wide range of fields, including:
