Kick off the first Space Seminar of the year with Prof. Marek Dollar, who will explore advanced structural materials designed to withstand extreme conditions such as high mechanical loads, ultra-high temperatures, vacuum, radiation, and atmospheric re-entry. The seminar will cover a range of materials, including refractory metals, ultra-high temperature ceramics, carbon-carbon composites, and high-entropy alloys.
Prof. Dollar, an AGH alumnus with over 40 years of research and teaching experience in the US, now focuses on next-generation multifunctional materials for space applications at the Faculty of Space Technologies, AGH.
