The spring school is oriented towards a large audience, gathering STEM or non-STEM students, to allow them to discover some of the many faces of the space sector.
What to expect?
- Conference on various topics in the morning (space law, medicine, launchers, satellite operations and manufacturing, astrodynamics, space defence, space and arts, etc.
- Teambuilding activities inspired by astronaut training at the Euro Space Center.
- Visit of the ESEC-Redu station and the quantum cryptography laboratory (to be confirmed).
- Speed dating with professionals in the Space field (to be confimed).
- A cosmicathon (team-based challenge around space mission design), planetarium, stargazing sessions, etc.
Venue
Located 65 km from Namur, the Euro Space Center is an educational space theme park located in southern Belgium and it has been training aspiring astronauts since 1991.
Not far from Euro Space Center are ESA/ESEC, ESA satellite control centre and the Europe’s first cybersecurity training centre for space systems. The ESA Education Training Center is responsible for all ESA training sessions for university students.
