Taking place in Toulouse, France, from 31 August to 10 September 2026, this Summer School offers a unique opportunity to explore the space sector from complementary perspectives that go beyond science and engineering. The programme combines insights into the economic and entrepreneurial dimensions of space activities with the development of key intercultural and communication skills required in international environments.
Participants will engage in two main modules:
Space Business
Delivered by TBS Education, this module introduces students to the European space industry, its main stakeholders, economic challenges and emerging opportunities. Through workshops, case studies, and industry visits, including a visit to Airbus, participants will gain practical insights into innovation, entrepreneurship and business processes within the space sector.
Intercultural Cooperation and Scientific Communication
Led by Université Toulouse – Jean Jaurès, this module focuses on collaboration in multicultural and multidisciplinary contexts. Students will develop skills in intercultural communication, conflict management, negotiation, and scientific outreach, learning how to communicate complex space-related topics to different audiences.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
Understand the structure and dynamics of the space business ecosystem;
Work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams;
Communicate scientific and technical concepts to diverse audiences;
Develop a broader understanding of the societal, economic and international dimensions of the space sector.
