Following the local hackathon held at TBS Education with the support of UNIVERSEH, the Toulouse-based team Solete achieved outstanding results at national and international levels.
During the French national final held in Bordeaux, teams from across the country pitched their projects in front of an expert jury. The Toulouse team won first place with their project Satell-EYE.
Their solution leverages satellite data and embedded artificial intelligence to detect “ghost ships,” addressing key challenges in maritime security, illegal activities, and environmental protection. The project stood out for both its societal impact and the quality of its presentation.
As national winners, the team earned a unique prize: a trip to the Guiana Space Centre to attend a rocket launch.
They then advanced to the international final, competing against 23 teams from around the world. While the grand prize was awarded to a Senegalese team, the Toulouse team delivered an impressive performance on the global stage.
Congratulations to the Toulouse team !
