Crew Principles: Values of UNIVERSEH

Beyond education, research and mobility, UNIVERSEH’s objective is to establish a common working culture across the Alliance, rooted in shared values, to deepen the integration between its partner universities.

Beyond its core missions of education, research, and mobility, UNIVERSEH is committed to fostering a unified working culture across its partner institutions. This culture is built upon a foundation of shared values and aims to strengthen the integration and collaboration between the universities within the Alliance.

To support this vision, the Governing Board of UNIVERSEH—which brings together the rectors of all partner universities along with the president of the Student Council—has recently endorsed a key initiative: the “UNIVERSEH Crew Principles.”

These principles represent a collective commitment to a common set of fundamental values. They are rooted in European Union law and policy and are fully aligned with the codes of conduct of each member institution.

As members of the UNIVERSEH community, whether we are educators, researchers, administrative staff, or students, we proudly serve as ambassadors of these guiding values:

  • Inclusion and Accessibility – Promoting equal opportunities for all, regardless of background or ability.
  • Equity – Ensuring fairness and respect in all interactions.
  • Interculturality – Valuing cultural diversity and encouraging open, respectful dialogue across cultures.
  • Sustainability – Committing to responsible practices that support environmental, educational, and economic well-being for future generations.

Together, these principles underpin the spirit of cooperation and solidarity that defines the UNIVERSEH Alliance.
