The mission will begin with a pre-training session on 7 June 2025 at AGH, Building D3 (Habitat), and will take place in the AATC’s Habitat from 8 to 14 June 2025 (7 days in total).
During the mission, a selected analog astronaut crew of four participants will run parallel experiments of the MXene in LEO project developed by scientists from AGH. The same project will be tested aboard the ISS by the Polish ESA project astronaut, Dr. Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski.
The main goals of the activity are to:
- learn how to perform ground control experiments for ISS projects;
- understand how to document the ground testing phase according to ESA requirements;
- gain experience in running an analog mission;
- develop transferable skills such as project management, problem-solving, and teamwork while carrying out experiments, creating documentation, and preparing technical materials;
- enhance soft skills including effective communication, collaboration, and critical thinking—skills which will be useful throughout every stage of the project, from concept development to final reporting.
