What an incredible day it was! With over 160 participants joining us at the Université de Namur and online, the Women and Girls in Science event exceeded all our expectations.
To our outstanding speakers: thank you for sharing your research and inspiring us with your brilliance. Thank you for being living examples that women can thrive in science and serve as champions of inclusivity.
To everyone who presented flash talks and posters, shared their research, asked thoughtful questions, and engaged in meaningful conversations throughout the day; you created the vibrant, collaborative atmosphere that makes events like this truly special.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly our panel session! Our audience and panelists engaged in powerful discussions around “What does it mean to be a woman in science?” exploring what barriers remain, what solutions need to be in place, and which practices need to be reformed.
None of this would have been possible without the organizing committee, sponsors, and supporters, your hard work behind the scenes made this seamless experience possible.
Most importantly, to every attendee who chose to spend their day celebrating and supporting women and girls in science: you are the heart of this movement. Together, we’re not just talking about change; we’re creating it.
