The participants of the School were master’s students in their final years from partner universities of the UNIVERSEH consortium in France, Italy, Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden, and Poland.
During the intensive 5-day program, students attended lectures and workshops delivered by a group of experts from Poland as well as international institutions (e.g., from Japan and Luxembourg). They also participated in a study visit along the mining route of the Wieliczka Salt Mine, which proved to be a truly unique experience.
Students were introduced to the activities of our “space” student research groups and had the opportunity to visit the laboratories of the AGH Space Technology Centre, located in the newly opened building.
The program also included extracurricular events, such as a guided tour of Krakow and a social evening. Students also organized their own integration outings and meetings, exploring the charms of the AGH campus and Krakow itself.
The week-long stay at AGH was just one part of the School, which continues online. The participants, divided into small teams, are preparing projects to be presented to their academic supervisors in mid-December. These projects, along with other completed tasks, will form the basis for awarding certificates of participation/completion.
Many students, after completing their stay in Krakow, inquired about the possibility of continuing their studies at AGH. This suggests that both our university and Krakow itself impressed the participants of ASSRR. We hope that representatives from all partner universities of the UNIVERSEH 2.0 consortium will be equally enthusiastic about participating in future events organized by the WP2 AGH team.
