We encourage teachers, researchers, practitioners, and other stakeholders to submit abstracts for:
- 20-minute talks consisting of a 15-minute presentation followed by 5 minutes for questions,
- 20-minute case study presentations, featuring real-world examples, challenges, and best practices, with the same format as above,
- 20-minute interactive demonstrations, presenting new technologies, tools, or methodologies, with a 15-minute presentation followed by 5 minutes for questions,
- 20-minute skill-building sessions, focusing on hands-on training in specific competencies ISRU and Additive Manufacturing in Space,
- 40-minute workshops, consisting of 30-35 minutes of interactive activities, followed by 5-10 minutes for questions, reflections, and feedback,

This is not a research-focused conference, but research-based submissions
are welcome. Presenters may share work in progress and discuss their
findings with practitioners from different countries. Participants should reflect on how their contribution aligns with the conference’s main themes:
- The Role of English in Building the European University,
- Fostering Multilingualism and Supporting Multicultural-Based English-Medium Instruction in European University Alliances.
Sub-themes include:
- Language policy in university contexts,
- English and internationalisation in higher education,
- Using English and local languages for administrative purposes,
- Teaching English for today’s research world,
- English as a means of promoting multilingualism,
- Linguistic support for academics – who and how?
- The role of teachers in an EMI classroom,
- English language training and support for administrative staff and students,
- Teaching and learning strategies for EMI,
- EMI classroom interactions,
- Stakeholder expectations and beliefs,
- University staff attitudes toward using English at work,
- Assessment and evaluation of linguistic competencies for EMI,
- Self-assessment of EMI skills – is it possible?
- English proficiency and multilingualism as drivers of professional
development and satisfaction, - Cultural differences in academia – do they really matter?
- Common terminology – issues, challenges, and solutions.
Abstracts (max. 200 words), details of the selected presentation format, and presenter biographies (max. 100 words) should be sent by 5 May 2025 at the latest.
Presenters will be notified of acceptance no later than 1 June 2025, and submissions will be assigned to sessions based on their theme.
