Designed to capture the imagination of 12 to 18 year-olds, this platform takes them on a journey where adventure and learning intertwine, based on true events and unfolding through a series of thrilling scenes. Each scene challenges students in the form of a question, offering them the opportunity to dive deeper into the adventure while exploring the diversity of space-related professions.
Created with the support of Wallonia’s “Plan de Relance”, My Space Job is perfectly aligned with the mission of the Euro Space Center and UNamur: to encourage young people to consider a career in science. The platform illustrates the diversity of professions in the space sector, demonstrating that career opportunities extend far beyond the role of astronaut.
The platform’s engaging script was developed in collaboration with André Füzfa, professor and researcher at UNamur, enriching the content with his expertise and creative vision. Also an author of science fiction, the astrophysicist also sees this project as an opportunity to draw attention to the scientific and societal issues surrounding space.
The platform’s interactive content includes interviews with industry professionals, including Frank De Winne, astronaut and head of the new astronaut training center in Cologne, Jean-Luc Trullemans, ESA center manager, and space lawyer Jean-François Mayence. These contributions offer an in-depth immersion in the world of space, highlighting the issues and challenges at stake.
My Space Job is available in French, Dutch, German and English.
