A free course for the general public on the societal impact of space and human activities in space, from scientific exploration to space-strategic, economic and technological issues.

From February to May 2025, the University of Namur is organising a free course for the general public on the societal impact of space and human activities in space, from scientific exploration to space-strategic, economic and technological issues.

Objectives

  • Discover and understand societal issues related to space;
  • Strengthen citizens culture in the field of space in order to exercise their citizenship.
  • Understand space technologies in order to better appreciate their economic, environmental and societal impact.
  • Prepare for a future career in or related to space.

Programme

The programme consists of a series of multi-disciplinary lectures accessible to non-specialists.

The lectures will be given in French by experts and players in the space industry.
