Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University Continues Active Participation in the UNIVERSEH 2.0-Extended for Ukraine Project

Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (PNU), in collaboration with the alliance of European space universities, UNIVERSEH, continues its active participation in the UNIVERSEH 2.0-Extended for Ukraine project. A student team from our university took part in the international conference Space Expedition Workshop focused on the topic: "Human Factor in the Settlement of the Moon and Mission Operations."

The workshop, held from November 15 to 19, addressed the scientific and practical aspects of human spaceflight, the effects of prolonged isolation and unique environmental conditions on the psychological well-being of crew members, and the challenges of mission coordination.

Representing the university this time were students from the Faculty of Physics and Technology—Solomiia Botiuk, Adriana Danyliuk, and Alina Holinei; the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics—Yulia Lazarovych, Sofia Vasiliuk, Ruslana Malik, and Sofia Fedorkiv; and the Faculty of Natural Sciences—Khrystyna Fediv. Together with peers from Université Jean-Jaurès and INP–ENSAT (France), University of Tor Vergata (Italy), University of Düsseldorf (Germany), Luleå Technical University (Sweden), University of Luxembourg (Luxembourg), and AGH University in Kraków(Poland), they learned how to collaborate on joint projects, collect and analyze data, and act in emergency situations.

The interdisciplinary aspects of space mission implementation were explored, with a primary focus on the role and significance of highly skilled, multi-tasking team members as a key factor in the success of space missions.

Efforts in this area will continue within the framework of a new ERASMUS project titled “Digital Course for University Analog Astronaut Space Trainings.” Under this initiative, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, in collaboration with the Stanisław Staszic University of Mining and Metallurgy (Poland), the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (France), the Academy of Arts and Design (Italy), and CreateHub (Poland), will work on developing e-learning courses tailored for the preparation of potential space mission participants.
