Space Week AGH

Space Week AGH is an event dedicated to bringing space closer to  everyone – students, researchers, children, and space enthusiasts. Through a mix of science, fun, and inspiration, we’ll explore the many dimensions of space.

Each day will focus on a different space theme: Space School Day, Space Game Day, Space Exploration Day, and Space City Day.

The program will include school outreach, outdoor space games, board game tournaments, lab tours, engaging discussions, hands-on workshops, and a special space-themed cinema night.

May 16 – Space School Day
AGH’s space-themed student research groups will visit a selected primary school to inspire the scientists of tomorrow!

May 19 – Space Game Day

  • Space-themed “Mafia” game
  • Special edition of the the event “Grymaszenie”  featuring Outer Wilds 
  • Creative workshops for kids and teens at Apteka Designu
  • Space board game day at Hex café

May 20 – Space Exploration Day

  • Presentations by space student groups for high school students
  • Debate co-organized with the Polish Science Fiction Foundation titled: “All these worlds… So, why do we need space?”
  • Open Day at the AGH Faculty of Space Technologies

May 21 – Space City Day

  • Urban game on the campus of the AGH University of Krakow
  • Meeting with city officials
  • Screening of Gravity at Kino Mikro with an accompanying lecture

May 21–23 – Space Resources Conference

  • International scientific conference featuring space experts from around the world

The event will take place on-site at AGH University of Krakow and in various locations across the city, bringing space closer to the local
community.

All events are open to everyone – children, teenagers, students, researchers, as well as fans of science fiction and space exploration. Note – events will be held in Polish!
