Space Medicine: Life in the Universe

The University of Toulouse cordially invites you to a conference on Space Medicine.
The aim of the conference is to raise public awareness of the health challenges for astronauts, the innovative solutions developed by MEDES to protect them, and the potential applications of these technologies for health on Earth.
On March the 27, 2024, University Paul Sabatier Toulouse III will be hosting an event around “Space Medicine: Life in the Universe”.

The revolutionary impact of advanced space systems on life sciences and health and the scope of the healthcare market for space companies will be discussed by Space and Medicine experts :

  •  Audrey Berthier, Director of MEDES – Institute for Space Medicine and Physiology;
  • Anne Pavy-Le Traon, Head of the Autonomous Laboratory of the Toulouse University Hospital and member of the medical board of the European Space Agency – ESA;
  • Sara Laurencin, Dean and Director of the Odontology Department at the Toulouse Faculty of Health;
  • Adam Walters, Professor of Astrophysics at the University Paul Sabatier Toulouse III and member of the UNIVERSEH European University Alliance;
  • Florent Destruhaut, Professor of Dental Surgery and Social Anthropology and researcher in space ethics at the Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III.
